What is the Art Day Club?

The Art Day Club is an online course featuring 36 complete video fine art classes for kids and teens. One class + project for each week of the school year!

Classes average 56 minutes and kids create along with Miss Jessica. The Art Day Club is your go-to for quality homeschool art classes! Kids learn to draw and paint! All classes are pre-recorded so they fit your schedule perfectly!

Who is the Art Day Club for?

  • Kids learn all about the Elements of Art (literally only what all art is made of) and, along with Miss Jessica, get to be “Element Detectives,” searching for the Elements of Art in a nature photo at the beginning of each class, as Miss Jessica “magically” draws the lines and shapes right on the photo as they find them.

  • Review & Closure portion of class with vocabulary and techniques covered at the end of every class.

  • Each project is taught step-by-step, as kids create alongside Miss Jessica, and she talks through what she is doing and why, in each step.

  • Many classes that teach drawing and painting, as well as printmaking, weaving, collage and paper sculpture.

  • Materials List: Miss Jessica only uses materials that are easy-to-find, inexpensive, high-quality and non-toxic. Here is a list of the exact materials we use in the Art Day Club, although again, you are free to use whatever materials you have on hand: pencil, crayons, construction paper crayons, 12” ruler, scissors, glue bottle, kids’ watercolor paint set, mixable paints for children (either tempera paint or project paint + black tempera paint, because black project paint is not quite black), a palette (can be a paper plate), water container for rinsing brushes, paintbrushes (small and regular sized, round), white 9x12” construction paper, assorted colors 9x12” construction paper, 12x18” white construction paper, something to protect your table from paint (can be a paper grocery bag), a roll masking tape or something round to trace...that's it!

  • Instruction and practice using the Principles of Design, to really level up kids’ art skills.

Jessica Lannine (Founder and Art Instructor)

Jessica Lannine is an artist with a BFA in Art, with concentrations in both Painting and Education. She was certified to teach Art in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Jessica is a former Elementary School Art Teacher-turned-homeschooling mom of two creative kids, ages 13 & 16.

Jessica’s artwork has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions at various art galleries in Charlotte and she’s won awards for both her artwork and her art teaching. Jessica has been a guest speaker at several Universities, being invited to speak both as an artist and also as an art teacher. Jessica has taught art classes to thousands of kids and taught art to people of all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. Jessica also has an extensive background in Special Education.

  • Who is the Art Day Club for?

    The Art Day Club is designed especially for homeschooled kids and teens, ages 8-14+, by an artist and former school art teacher-turned-homeschooling mom! Kids are so creative and the Art Day Club teaches art techniques; the elements of art and the principles of design so that they can be even more successful in all the art that they make. We do have kids younger than 8 in the club and we now also have the Art Day Club Jr, for kids 5-8.

  • When do we have Art Day classes?

    Whenever you like! We recommend having Art Day once a week, at the day and time of your choice. All Art Day Club classes are pre-recorded, so you can watch them whenever is most convenient for your family!

  • How long will I have access to the Art Day Club classes?

    You will have access to the Art Day Club classes for 365 days from the date of purchase.

  • Art Day classes look so fun, can I do the Art Day classes with my kids?

    Yes! As far as licensing, anyone living in the same house can use a purchased Art Day Club class, so feel free to do Art Day Club classes with your children, that's wonderful!

  • Is the Art Day Club a good fit for kids who are artistically gifted, intellectually gifted, 2e, have learning differences or special needs?

    We welcome families with children who are artistically gifted, intellectually gifted, 2e, have learning differences or special needs, at Art Day. Miss Jessica has vast experience teaching children with a variety of differences, such as those listed here. Miss Jessica uses a variety of teaching methods to best teach Art to all children.

  • Can I use the Art Day projects or videos in my classroom/art room/art studio/homeschool co-op?

    No. Access to Art Day is designed for families with a license of one family per purchased product. This license prohibits the use of Art Day in classrooms, art rooms, art studios and homeschool co-ops.

  • Can I share my child's finished Art Day artwork with Miss Jessica?

    Yes! Miss Jessica loves to see her students' finished Art Day projects! You can share these photos with Miss Jessica directly inside the course and on Facebook.

  • Is this a one-time payment or a monthly membership?

    The Art Day Club is a one-time payment purchase! This is not a monthly membership. You get all 36 classes, making 36 projects, for a low, one-time payment.
